Can I count this training toward Certification / Sashes?
Yes, if one is enrolled in a Personal or Group training supervised by Sifu (In-Person or Live-Video sessions) a practitioner may be eligible to earn CTH's (Combatives Training Hours) through the training.  One must be live for sash tests however.

Do I need a Bag or Dummy?
No.. but Bag or a Wing Chun or Choy Lee Fut dummy may be used to supplement your training.

What else do I need for the training?
For the heavy bag training Sifu recommends having at least one set of handwraps, and a mesh bag for washing them.  One should also have a set of Bag Gloves and MMA bag gloves (optional).

Clothes should be loose and flexible like sweat suits, windpants, training gee, or athletic shorts.  One can train either barefoot or in martial arts shoes such as "Feiyues".

Once I sign up how to tune into training?

Once you sign up a link for livestream will appear in your email the day of training. Allow up to 24hrs for first signup link.

Do I need a video/webcam?

Yes, in order to receive feedback it is necessary that you have a camera turned on.

Are there risks involved?
As with every exercise program there is a risk to injury, especially if incorrect technique is done.    Each practitioner must take full responsibility for the outcome of their own actions and receive doctors clearance if necessary before the training.
Sifu Myers is not responsible for anyone's training injuries.

The most common injuries during heavy bag training include: jammed wrists, sore/bruised hands, bruised feet and strained/pulled or torn leg muscles.  More serious injuries like broken metacarpals, broken wrists, twisted/sprained ankles, knee problems, back pain, neck pain, heat exhaustion, feinting are possible but rare.  These injuries can be prevented by proper stretching warmup, properly wrapping hands, and executing proper technique.
