Ayurveda is a medical science that dates back up to 9000 years ago, being codified into texts 3000 years ago. It is still a major pillar in India’s medical system. It is known for its valuable contribution to the management of chronic conditions, revitalization therapies, effective preventative measures, and life-extension techniques. Within the body we have 3 doshas (energies) Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Pitta represents the fire element. In the summer this dosha is susceptible to aggravate, and raise beyond its normal range. When this happens, a person may feel irritable, frustrated and have a tendency to want to push on and on, sometimes also feeling excessively combative and angry. In this video I discuss ways to identify, and balance the pitta energy. This can be used to create a more harmonious life both physically and emotionally. I will identify behavioral practices, diet, herbs and cleansing practices.
